Two puppets especially for Christmas.

These characters will happily sit on top of your tree or can be used as glove puppets by adults or children. They delight children as they can be also played with like dolls.

The sparkly yarn I used for my fairy does not show up very well in the photos. You can make yours as pretty as you want. Stitch on trimmings or thread beads or ribbon through the holes in the dress. You could even weave fairy lights through the holes (but keep her well away from children if you do)

Santa can wear his hood up or down, though you could stitch it in place and make just a fringe of hair at the front.

If you want a less-conventional tree-topper you could make a punk puppet as wyesue did in 2007.

Note: The circumference of the head should be approximately 21 cm (8.5”) when stuffed.
