Glow Bug
Glow bug is a fun and simple project, perfect for a beginner crocheter, or someone wanting to try amigurumi! At only 21 rounds, this project works up quickly. Photo instructions are included throughout the pattern, for extra support. The pattern includes instructions for how to make both the big and small version of the toy.
Glow bug is made from the top-down. The pattern is written in US terms. The photographed examples are made using Yarn & Colours Charming. Lionbrand DIY Glow was used to give the glow-in-the-dark effect. Instructions are given to make the big version with yarns held doubled, or the little version, using just one strand of yarn. In both examples, less than one ball of each colour is required, generally less than 20m/yards (which makes this project a great stash-buster!) The big version stands approximately 12cm/5 inches tall, and the small version stands approximately 7cm/3 inches tall.
