Glow Crochet Cushion
It is a characteristic of the Knitter to save every last scrap of yarn because they know it will be needed the second it has been disposed of! This cushion has been designed specifically to use up all those odds and ends that aren’t big enough to make a project in their own right.
It can be worked in 4 ply, DK or Aran – just alter your hook size accordingly (3mm for 4 ply, 4mm for DK and 5mm for Aran weights.) Try hard to stick to the same weight yarns, as the beauty of this design is its colour changes and uneven texture created by changing the thickness of the yarns may affect the finished object’s impact.
I have used a lot of odd tapestry wools to make this cover in order to achieve a broad colour range, but it can easily be done with knitting yarns too. The square is worked in the round from the centre of the fabric, outwards. Ideally you should start with a light colour in the centre and work out to a dark colour, or vice versa.
