Normally I do not like bugs that much.
Ok, I never like bugs that much!
Is this not the cutest cockroach you have ever seen?
I had to give him a sister bug so it just made sense to make a firefly.
Do you call them fireflies or lightning bugs?
The best part about this pattern other than the cuteness? It is almost no sew! All you sew on are the antennae and I made the last row bigger to make it easier for you.
I used Big Twist Posh and a 5.5 mm hook. The body and head are about 8 1/2” tall.
I used 35 mm round sinker safety eyes. I think for the bug look you need the biggest eyes possible!
The roach has some surface slip stitching to simulate the body segments.
You will need wire or pipe cleaner for the antennae.
