It’s time for the family to visit Gnana for Longest Gnight! Or is it?
A perplexed Gnana arrives at the family’s empty cottage, ready to visit them. The pantry is empty, the house is dark, and Gnana will need to find a different way to celebrate Longest Gnight.

I love creating joy and anticipation during winter’s dark days. Preparing secrets for you makes me so happy. The December gnome countdown knitalong has become such a treasured part of the year!

It’s not too late to join! The knitalong is very gently paced.

How does it work?
You’ll get 21 updates during December from Dec 1-21. Some of those days you’ll open up the update to find a clue to knit. The other days will bring part of our charming story, special treats, or a recipe or two for traditional gnomish delights.

•Notions
wire glasses that are approx. 1.5” / 35 mm wide, yarn needle, removable stitch markers, roving/polyfill stuffing, weighted stuffing like poly pellets/aquarium gravel/dried beans.

Gnana has been designed with small wire glasses that are approx. 1.5” / 35mm wide. The PreKnitalong PDF has a few sources for the wire glasses and more information for sourcing your own. Some dyers are providing these. If you preordered from The Loopy Ewe in August, you will receive glasses. If your Gnana doesn’t have glasses, she’ll look great. These aren’t essential.

Participating Dyers
Note: you are not required to use participating dyers’ yarn. You can source your gnome yarn however you like. Colour advice is available in the PreKnitalong Information PDF that you can download right now when you purchase the pattern.
