This pattern is 16 pages long and contains loads of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in American crochet terms.

You will need:

Yarn of your choice - yarn weight doesn’t really matter, the size of your gnome will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used Patons Smoothie DK Yarn and my finished gnome measures 15cm tall to the tip of his hat. You will need the following colours:
Pale pink, white, green, grey, black, red, dark orange, blue, yellow and beige.

A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook.

Toy stuffing for the gnome and fish.

Finer yarn or embroidery thread in black, brown and green for embroidering the details.

A strong piece of thread to attach the fish to the fishing rod.

A button ( you can easily adjust the size of the buttonhole to suit most sizes).

Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors, pins and a stitch marker.
