This year as been the Year of the Gnome / Tomte in my house. I have designed an entire year in Gnomes & now comes the advent calendar.
I knit this in Aran yarn to hold quite substantial toy gifts. If you prefer to use just sweets, I would go down to DK yarn
I used Yarnart Melody in gold, deep green, burgundy & silver white. The faces are in pink, or, pale beige and 3mm knitting needles ,as I wanted it to be slightly olde worlde looking. Brights would look stunning too.
I made every single hat different. It took a long time :) If you want to make it easier on yourself, Knit them all one colour :)
