After searching for a pattern to make for a custom gift to represent a family, I created this version of these sweet gnomes. This pattern has several options for each body part, and is customizable for height, colors, hair, facial hair, etc. What a super sweet custom gift for a new family, newlyweds, retirement, new home! Try customizing the colors for Christmas (imagine in reds and greens), autumn, Easter, Halloween, team or flag colors, and adding small props.

Sizes:
5” to 7” sitting height (plus legs)
Lots of options included to adapt the size for a custom gnome.

Skill Level:
Easy/Moderate: Simple stitches and no gauge, but the little pieces can be a bit finicky for newbies.

Stitch Abbreviations:
Chain (ch)
Single crochet (sc)
Single crochet back loop only (scblo)
Single crochet 2 together (sc2tog)
Slip stitch (sl)
Stitch/stitches (st)

Materials Needed:
4 mm (US size G) crochet hook

Worsted weight yarn in several colors of your choosing. I used Bernat Premium yarn. Other fibers (like jute, floss, fabric, fur) can be used for the pigtails and facial hair.
Polyester stuffing
Tapestry needle to weave in ends and sew up.
