Hello! This pattern is one of the early patterns I wrote but never published. It does not have as many pictures as my other ones, but there are still pictures in helpful places.

This pattern is practically a no-sew pattern, or a VERY low-sew pattern. The feet are the only things in this pattern sewn on.

The finished dwarf measures 3 and a half inches tall, and 2 or so inches across. He’s chubby. :)

His beard is made of picot stitches, and these stitches are worked in back loop only stitches which we make on the face.

The picot stitch is made by: sc in st, ch 3, sc in same st.

His nose is one big bobble stitch, and if you haven’t bobble-stitched before I suggest you watch a few videos on it, as it is too complex a stitch to explain here. (But the stitch itself is easy.)

The pattern starts at his hat, and ends at his pants.

You will need a 3.5 and a 3.25 hook for this pattern, and green, red, blue, tan, white and brown worsted weight yarn. (For my red, white, and blue yarn, I used Hobby-Lobby I-love this-yarn)

The stitches I used are:

Single, increase, decrease, chain, back loop only (BLO), picot, bobble, and slip stitch.

Please leave a ‘Project’ of your gnome when you’ve finished! I would love to see it!

Enjoy!
