Gnome or Elf Wine Bottle Topper or Decoration
What a wonderful way to add an extra special touch to a bottle of wine you bring to someone as a gift.
These Gnome or Elf toppers knit up in under an hour and are a great scrap buster.
They use approximately:
30 yards of yarn in whatever combo you want to make them in.
You can use wool but if you also want to remove the hat and use the body as a drip catcher, I’d make them in acrylic so you can wash them easily.
The pattern contains photos of finishing details and also 2 different sizes and shapes to fit both white wine bottles and red wine bottles perfectly.
They are knit in the round on double pointed needles and would be a great first in the round project for a beginning knitter.
I hope you enjoy knitting these up and giving them as gifts.
