This pattern will create a wine bottle topper for a standard 750 mL wine bottle. Other bottles may work, but the hat may sit on various bottles differently.

Pattern was originally written to use Dawn Sayelle, Vanna’s Choice, Heartland, Paton’s Classic Wool, and Loops & Threads Country Loom yarn, but other yarns may be substituted. Medium weight yarn is recommend for the hat. A main color and a contrasting color may be used in place of multiple colors.

A leather-covered shank button is recommended but not required.
