My brother asked me to design a “nattlue” (a nightcap) for him for his birthday. He’s gone bald in recent years and often complains his head gets cold at night when he sleeps. Green is his favorite color, so I knew it had to be mostly green. I thought it would be fun to combine traditional elements of our Norwegian heritage with a functional, extra soft sleeping hat that could also be worn outside. I suppose it’s more of a nisselue ☺️

This pattern is charted colorwork combined with written instructions.

Finish measurements: (laying flat, non-doubled) 9” at widest point across and approximately 14” long.

Materials:
Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Highland Worsted in 3 colors – MC – main color/midtone; LCC – light contrasting color; DCC – dark contrasting color). 100% highland wool, 50g each color. Pattern will not consume the entirety of the skeins.
