Finally here’s your chance to make your very own Godzilla inspired hat! It can be made in a variety of different colors for different looks, either classic Godzilla or perhaps a more modern look as well! You’ll be sure to inspire lots of looks of oohs and ahhs in this awesome hat! Make a gift for a friend or family that they will cherish for years to come!

Pattern is in an adult size but can be modified for infant and child as well.

An H hook is required for the standard sized hat, but I’ve found a larger gauge hook will do just fine as well, and will make the hat a little looser, which could help if you have the need for an XL hat (or just want it to fit looser).

Any color yarn works fine but I typically use Forrest Green Simply Soft, it’s great yarn, soft, shiny, and sturdy. BUT if you’d like to try a lesser expensive brand such as Red Heart, bare in mind that this will change the gauge of the pattern because it is a thicker yarn, making the hat larger in the process. It still looks fine, but again, it will be bigger than the standard size.

This hat pattern uses approx. half a standard Simply Soft skein (usually less than half). I’ve found I’ve been able to make 2 hats per skein with some left over.

The pattern is pretty simple, but please be comfortable crocheting in double crochet, as well as the basics of crocheting in rounds, using slip stitches and basic ability with hot glue, felt, and knowledge of assembly.
