When I want to use this square for a tote, I used a 4.0 mm hook. For a Blanket, afghan, or shawl, I would used 5.0 mm or 5.5 mm hook depending on how much drape I wanted.

This is a great square for stash and scrap busting, and it’s a lot of fun to make.
