Every time I work in my flower garden, I always want a hat to protect my face and shield my eyes. The problem is, working in the flower bed is hot work, and with most hats, I cannot put my hair up. Problem solved! Introducing Go Topless Sun “Hat”. Based on my popular Alpine Snowfall patterns, this hat is not only functional, but pretty as well. This hat can be made as a topless sun hat or a topless bucket hat, which has a shorter brim and is wireless.

Pattern is written in US terms

Detailed written instructions for the following sizes:

• Child
• Teen/Sm. Adult
• Average Adult
• Large Adult
• Extra Large Adult

Detailed instructions for two different brim types, one wide brimmed with wire, one bucket hat style without wire.

Materials:
– Any size 4 yarn will probably work, but for my Hat, I used I Love this Yarn Cotton in Rosy. Approximately 180 Yards for Teen/Small with Brim A. You will need one to two skeins depending on size made.
– Size I/9-5.50mm Crochet Hook (I use Boye) I crochet loose, if you do not, you may need to go up a hook size.
– Tapestry Needle

• Stitch marker to use at the beginning stitch of the round to make it easier to find
• 1/16 Steel Wire Rope 3 to 4 feet (you can also use stainless steel fencing wire if you want a brim you can mold) (Optional)
• Non Insulated Butt Connector 16-14 Gauge Electrical Wire Seamless (Optional)

Approximate Yardage—Between 150 and 250+ yards, depending on size and your tension.
