Goin' Fishin Again
This is a learning game for a baby/toddler. The fish are made of multiple colors, as is the tote. The child will be able to learn colors, counting, the concept of solid and striped. If you choose to embroider an alphabet letter n each fish, it becomes an alphabet game.
The project is a GREAT way to use up your scraps of yarn. The colors I used are listed, but they can easily be changed to your colors of choice.
The number of fish you make depends on you. I suggest you make the colors of the rainbow to teach the basic colors: red, orange,, yellow, green blue and violet. Indigo, which is the rainbow color between blue and violet, was rather hard for me to find.
I have made this pattern for several 1st birthday presents and 1st Christmas gifts. They have gone over well with both the parents and the children.
