If you’re a Tolkien fan, you’ll know of the characters Goldberry and Tom Bombadil, in The Hobbit. I designed this blanket for a dear friend who had a Lord of the Rings/ woodland/ fantasy themed nursery. As a huge LOTR fan myself I chose Goldberry because she is youthful, a bit mysterious, but kind and welcoming. I think all those things make for the perfect playground for little ones. And where better to play than in your dreams, when you’re sleeping with this cozy blanket?

The Goldberry Blanket is a sophisticated and professional looking baby blanket, but easy enough for any level crocheter to accomplish. The blanket is gender neutral and perfect for any season, which makes it a great gift to have at the ready for any babies on the way!

The pattern is written to create a 34”x34” baby blanket, but it can be adjusted to be bigger or smaller, according to your preference. It uses 9 skeins of Lion Brand Basic Stitch yarn (2 skeins of each color).
