Lace chalice-looking panels between textural panels and a simple crocheted picot border…that is what the Golden Chalice Shawlette is all about. It is a crescent-shaped shawl knit of 400 yards of fingering weight yarn, although lace weight, fingering, sport weight, or even DK would also work well with this pattern. Knit from the top down and beginning with only 7 stitches, the shawl grows from a textural knit and purl section, moves on to Angel Wing’s Lace, circles back to yet another textural knit and purl stitch pattern, and ends with Fairy Tale Lace. After binding off, a simple crocheted picot border is added. My shawl ended up being slightly over 6 feet in length and 14 inches at its center, deepest point. Full written instructions, row counts, charts, as well as a couple of video help links are included in the pattern
