Golden Fleece are fingerless mittens knitted in garter stitch.

They are knitted sideways and flat, and then joined at the end. Using chunky yarn, you get a super easy, super quick knit and the warmest mittens ever.

All the shaping, mainly in the thumb region, is done using short-rows.

You have a few options for your cast-on and bind-off: use “normal” cast-on and bind-off and then seam at the end; use provisional cast-on and then bind-off using 3-needle bind-off (if you’re lazy like me) or garter Kitchener stitch (if you prefer a perfect seamless finish). I provide no instructions for any of these methods, but if you search Google or Youtube you will find very good tutorials easily.

About size, the pattern instructions are given for a single size (my own small hands). Even though garter stitch is more attractive when stretched, I have chosen to size with no ease for extra warmth. I have also knitted very short cuffs, because I prefer the cuffs of my mittens not to interfere with the cuffs of my sweaters and jackets. However the pattern is very easy to modify for different sizes and instructions for this are included.
