Golden Fleece Scarf
Ever find a stitch pattern you just love and keep coming back to? That is the case for me with the yarnover cable stitch. So fun and easy to knit and the range of possibilities for how to use it just go on! In this case, I used it to knit a pattern I call the Golden Fleece.
The Golden Fleece Scarf is knit using the easy 4 row repeat stitch pattern - yarnover cable. There is a 3-row garter stitch border around the scarf. The combination of 2 colors and texture makes a visually interesting accessory to anyone’s wardrobe.
This scarf is knitted flat. If you would like a circular infinity scarf, you could sew the ends together or use a provisional cast on with a 3 needle bind off.
Difficulty level: advanced beginner
Skills needed: Cast on, bind off, knit, purl, slip stitch, pass slip stitch over, yarn over. Changing colors for stripes if more than 1 color is desired.
I used yarn from my stash. You will need approximately 135 yards of each color in a worsted weight yarn if using 2 colors or 270 yards if using 1 color.
Links to YouTube videos on how to knit the following techniques are included on the pattern: making a yarnover, slipping stitches, and pass slip stitch over.
Knit on!
