Golden Harvest
Meditative yet engaging – the Golden Harvest shawl hits the sweet spot for enjoyable knitting.
Alternating garter stitch and simple lace, you work Golden Harvest on the bias with increases on one edge and decreases on the other. The result is a chic parallelogram shape with tapered ends.
The lace is easy to memorise after a few repeats and is sequenced by blocks of pure garter stitch bliss.
You can easily adjust the size to your yarn amount and preference, and the pattern includes notes on how to do it.
The pattern is clear and easy to follow with both written and charted instructions, so you’ll feel confident from cast-on to bind-off. Slow down, relax, and enjoy the process.
YARN
4 skeins of Sandnes Garn Sunday (100% wool; 235 m / 257 yds per 50 g). Shown in colour 2345 Croissant.
Or approximately 752 m / 823 yds of similar light fingering to fingering weight yarn.
NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size needed to achieve pattern gauge
This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using an 80 cm / 32-inch circular needle to accommodate the large number of stitches.
Gauge affects the finished size and the amount of yarn needed.
