In photography, the golden hour is the period of daytime shortly after sunrise or before sunset, during which daylight is redder and softer than when the sun is higher in the sky. There’s a special quality to the light, no matter where you are, but particularly so at the beach – it can be a little cooler and sometimes you need an extra layer…so grab your needles and a skein of yarn and knit a little something you can throw on over your swimsuit.
The pattern is loose and lacy, and cropped.

It is knit (flat) in one piece from “front” to “back” and then joined at the side seams. It can easily be made bigger or smaller, or longer, but may require another skein of yarn.
• To make a smaller size (less width) – remove a pattern repeat on each side.
• To make larger (more width) – add a pattern repeat on each side. + 1 skein
• To make longer, add a pattern repeat before you start neckline shaping (on “front”) and again anytime after you complete neckline shaping (on “back”). + 1 skein

Materials:
• 1 skein fingering-weight yarn (100 g, +/- 400 yds)
• US 10 (6 mm) needles

Gauge: 16 st & 22 rows = 4” on US 10 (6 mm) needles in stockinette stitch. Please note that the fabric is very loose and drapey, so gauge may be difficult to assess
