This hat is inspired by the golden larches of the Pacific Northwest. The pattern has a lot of twists and uses a lot of yarn, but works up into a lovely all-over pattern that meets at a 9-pointed star on the crown. The hat has a folded ribbed brim and is knit in dk yarn on 3.75 mm needles. The hat is worked from the bottom up in the round, and has both written and charted instructions, as well as two options for when to decrease, depending on how tall you’d like your hat to be.
