As I began designing “Golden Path,” my mind wandered to the graceful elegance of ginkgo leaves, meandering through the fabric like a golden brick road.

The sweater’s stitch pattern draws inspiration from ginkgo leaves’ intricate veins and delicate curves. Just as one feels a sense of wonder while following the path of ginkgo leaves, “Golden Path” invites knitters to immerse themselves in the artistry of crafting, discovering the joy of creating something truly unique and enchanting.

Golden Path is knit top-down and seamlessly. It features a raglan yoke construction adorned with delightful loops along the classic raglan line and is knit in the round. The yoke is knit first, then the body, followed by the sleeves. The underarm stitches are picked up from the body while knitting the sleeves to avoid grafting. There are directions for three necks (scoop, crew, and turtleneck), two sleeves (short/long), and two lengths (cropped/full). Short rows are worked back and forth to raise the back neckline for a better fit.

Yarn Weight 3: DK.
The samples were made using De Rerum Natura Penelope in color Ocre (90% Merino, 10% Silk) - 145 yards per 50-gram ball.
