Golden Plover
This shawlette was made to match the knitted shawlette the Broadmoor Shawlette by Cobblestone Designs, which was made for the 2016 Greater Boston Area yarn crawl. The name for this pattern came from the bird the American Golden Plover, which is the favorite bird of Jack Black’s character (Brad) in the film The Big Year. It is kind of a gray bird, but what makes it really interesting is that it has one of the longest known migratory routes of over 40,000 km (25,000 mi), which is flown in a single year. I thought that it was a fitting name for this shawlette, which should travel a lot as well
I used about 1.5 skeins of Schachenmayr Regia 4-fade yarn, but any fingering weight yarn will work.
This is an easy pattern, but you do need 3 stitch markers to keep track of spaces on both ends.
