Have you ever tried to catch a piece of sun? Golden Ray is one moment out of many, especially designed for my gracious friend and mentor, Elena Nodel.
Golden Ray allows you create a breathtaking display for the memory to hold and keep.

With its soft shapes and lovely lines, Golden Ray is a triangular shawl worked side-to-side in beautiful Shetland Lace. The intriguing-looking reversible stitch is straightforward, placed on a delightful garter background.
A splendid beaded variation is included in the pattern.

Yarn:
fingering weight yarn, in merino and its blends, in solid or semisolid colors.

Sample shown uses:
Leizu Fingering by Julie Asselin, Jaipur colorway.

Yardage:
Color A: 420 yds (385 m)

Note, the entire skein was used for the sample. When in doubt, buy an extra skein for insurance.

Measurements (sides):
S: 35”, 50”, 55” (89, 127, 140 cm)
Measurements are taken from relaxed fabric after blocking.

Needles:
US 6 (4 mm) 24” (60 cm) long circ.

Notions:
darning needle, locking st marks, blocking wires and/or pins (lots of pins). Optional for adding beads: 174 pcs of 4 mm glass beads (15 g),
0.85 or 1.00 mm steel crochet hook for placing the beads.
