This dress has been designed with tie straps, which are ideal for summer, and very convenient as well as adjustable. Cotton is extremely breathable which makes it a perfect choice for a summer garment for a baby. In order for your dress to look like the one in the photo, you will need Scheepjes Catona yarn, but you can make it with any 4ply or DK yarn for a similar result.

This pattern is written for the dress to fit a baby between a newborn and up to approx. 3-months-old (16-inch chest).

Dress actual size:
• Chest circumference - 16 inches
• Height - 11 inches from top to bottom (excluding straps)
• Strap lengths - front 10 inches, back 11 inches
• Max. width of skirt (approx.) - 15 inches

The dress can be easily adjusted to fit other sizes by adding extra squares to the waistband, extending the width and height of the top front panel, adjusting the length of the straps, and adding more rounds to the bottom of the dress.

This pattern uses surface crochet technique, and the sunflowers are created by crocheting them onto the squares, and they are NOT appliques sewn onto them. This pattern is recommended for advanced beginners or intermediate crocheters. I have included a lot of photographs to guide you through the process, however, if you have any difficulties I am always happy to help!
