Goldenacre Cardigan
Goldenacre Cardigan is available at a 50% discount until midnight (GMT) on 11th November with coupon code GOLDEN50.
A gorgeous cardigan with a stunning lace design, set off with pretty twisted ribbing. Knitted from the top down with a saddle shoulder design, so the lace runs continuously from the neckline right down to the cuffs. Perfect for Autumn in worsted weight yarn, and with a cosy attached shawl collar to snuggle up in. The cardigan is knitted from the top down, and is totally seamless. There’s a diagram and photo tutorial to guide you through step-by-step. There are nine size inclusive sizes, a choice of three body lengths and two sleeve lengths for a perfect, personalised fit.
We work from the top down with a saddle shoulder construction and attached shawl collar. The bulk of the cardigan is worked in 2x1 twisted slip stitch rib, designed to look like brioche. There are strips of lace running down the fronts and sleeves, and a wider version of the same lace pattern runs down the back. This is a great knit for an adventurous knitter who enjoys exploring different sweater constructions.
Goldenacre is an area of Edinburgh that is close to my heart. We used to live near there and now my partner’s parents live there too – lots of happy memories! I started knitting this cardigan in the car on the way to visit my partner’s parents (they kept my preschooler busy all day so I could knit then too!) so it seems like a good name for the cardi itself. The pictured cardigan is size 3, body length 3.
