This driver cover is designed to fit new large head drivers. It is knitted with double strand of worsted yarn for durability. Pattern uses three colors. I try to match golf bag when I choose colors. I like the darkest color on the ‘neck’ of the cover and two other complementary colors for the checkerboard on the ‘head’.

Although the head cover shown weighs a total of 91 grams, I would allow 50-60 grams for the neck color and 30 grams each for the other two colors used for the checkerboard.

Checkerboard portion of pattern is knitted with two colors carried along the inside of the work. Kitchener stitch is used to bind top of cover.

Crochet hook is used to make a fastening tie for the tassel and to pull the tie to the inside of the head cover.

A pom pom could also be substituted for tassel if desired.
