I made these headcovers with 200 yards (100 gms) of black yarn, and about 50 grams each of blue and white yarn. I held a double strand of each yarn for the entire pattern. You can also use a single strand of the chunky weight yarn, but I wanted a specific color that was only available in worsted weight.

The pattern was made for a friend who wanted them without tassels. I think they would look better with tassels and have included pictorial instructions on how to make and attach them.
