Gone Surfin' Wavy Bonnet
this is not a beginner pattern - or you have to be a very adventurous beginner! there are several different ways of decreases which can seem confusing at first, yet i believe i have explained everything in detail - so, if you are feeling adventurous, go for it! :)
go for it if you have been knitting for a while or have some experience in lace knitting - then you will be golden!
This Gone Surfin’ baby bonnet pattern will help you to make a bonnet exactly like the pictured one! The pattern is for newborn size, 0-3m, 3-6m, 6-12m and 12-24m.
You can make it in two colors (like the pictured one), in one color or in as many colors as you like!
You will need yarn, knitting needles, a tapestry needle or crochet hook to weave in the yarn ends, a stitch holder or a piece of scrap yarn and two stitch markers (optional).
You will need DK weight yarn and the needles in the right size for you to obtain the gauge. I am not really giving any needle size recommendation since it will vary from yarn to yarn. You can use either long straight single pointed needles, or any circular needles. This bonnet is knit flat.
You need to get the gauge to be 20st in 4inches (10cm).
