Fair Isle style beanie design featuring 100% boopable (I think that’s a word now, right?) noses on dogs that will hopefully be knit in your Good Dog’s colors. Using Aran weight yarn for the Adult size and DK weight yarn for the Toddler size. Six colors are used in all. As always, you can tweak the weight of your yarn & / or and size of your needles to adjust the sizing, as needed.

Needle suggestions:
Each hat uses two different-sized needles. Get gauge on the “Main” needle; then, drop down one size to get your “Ribbing” needle.

For the Toddler hat: If you tend to knit loosely, try a US #5 for your Main needle. If you tend to knit tightly, try a US #6 for your Main needle.

For the Adult hat: If you tend to knit loosely, try a US #7 for your Main needle. If you tend to knit tightly, try a US #8 for your Main needle.

As always, these are only suggestions - use whatever size needle gets you the gauge you need.
