This bonnet is worked flat, bottom up, (up the right side to the hood, then down the left side) with a seam at the back of the hood. It is worked in double moss stitch. A quick knit for every knitter. The stitch pattern is very forgiving for increases and decreases.

You need about 400 yards of worsted weight yarn. Use clip markers to mark the beginning of the hood on the right side so that you match it on the left side of the hood. The double moss hides increases and decreases.

If you have more yarn, make it longer and have more scarf to wrap around your neck.

Schematic included.
