I love offering two shapes in this one pattern, the options are crescent or winged. There is also an option for multiple colors. The construction was a lot of fun to create, it’s a little different than the norm. I love wearing my shawls and I receive lots of compliments everywhere I go.

The shawl begins with the top cable and lace edging which creates the neck band. In the next section, the stitches are picked up on one side of the band for the main body, which is worked top down with short rows and increasing to shape shawl. The crescent shawl, shown in tan, is very long and shallow. The winged shawl, shown in blue, has a deeper width at the spine and a shorter wingspan across the top.

The design contains a simple lace pattern and a simple cable pattern. If you are looking for a first cable and lace pattern, this pattern is for you! Directions are written out and charted.

o Crescent: 7 skeins Misti Alpaca color 302 Worsted 100% Baby alpaca, sample used about 750 yards (685 m). Each skein is 1.76 oz (50g) / 109 yards (100 m). Using different yarn can change the yardage needed to complete.
o Winged: 5 skeins of Shepherd’s wool from Stonehedge Fiber mill. 1 Turquoise, 3 Light Turquoise, 1 natural. Each skein has 4 oz (113 g)/ 250 yards (228 m), Sample used approximately 1150 yards/ (1051 m), 170 yards (156 m) for top border in Turquoise, 670 yards (612 m) main body, and 310 yards (284 m) bottom edge. Using different yarn can change the yardage needed to complete.

Techniques used: cables, short rows, increase and decrease, and color change if you choose that option.

Muestra: 18 puntos y 28 vueltas = 4 inches /10 cm en punto Jersey con un bloqueo ligero. El calibre exacto no es determinante, pero puede afectar el tamaño del artículo terminado y la cantidad de yardas o metros necesaria para completar tu proyecto.
Notas de Construcción
Formato: La diferencia entre los dos patrones se mostrará a lo largo del patron, el patrón de media luna se mosotrará primero, y el patrón triangular se mostrará entre paréntesis: MEDIA LUNA TRIANGULAR.
Nota sobre vueltas cortas: Después de completar una vuelta corta, en la siguiente fila al llegar al P que estaba envuelto, mueva la envoltura colocando la aguja desde detrás del P y levántela sobre la aguja, luego envuélvala o colóquela con el P que estaba envuelta alrededor. Esto elimina la brecha que las envolturas y vueltas pueden dejar.
