Good Luck Peacock Shawl
Good Luck Peacock Shawl
It is a Crochet Pattern to create this unique and magically looking Shawl
“Unique Good Luck” White Peacock is associated with luck and prosperity, beauty and uniqueness, the best of the best.
This shawl was created especially to show beauty of the person who will wear it, also, the peacock eye looks like a “good luck” talisman bringing luck.
The crochet pattern is for intermediate and for those who love to crochet and play with yarn and imagination. Fan to work with - 55 peacock eyes
Shawl is unique, soft and feathery, elegant.
- This shawl also may be used as a throw on the bed, mandala on the wall, skirt and support/luck charm.
Sizing:
Shawl in shape of half circle:
Width: 152 cm/60 inch
Length: 102 cm/40 inch
Row 1 = 15 peacock eyes
Row 2 = 19 peacock eyes
Row 3 = 21 peacock eyes
- Peacock eye (diameter): B = 5 cm/2 inch; T = 9 cm/3 ½ inch; W = 12 cm/5 inch; L is added, weaved yarn (does not add to measurement, but optically enlarges the peacock eye with feather/lash yarn).
TOTAL of Peacock eyes = 55 – full size: 12 cm/5 inch wide x 13 cm/5 1/8 inch long/tall (without lash); lash size depends on your yarn, this particular lash is 4.5 cm/almost 2 inch long.
In this pattern I used 4 different yarns:
B (black) center – 1st color = 100 g (sport yarn)
T (turquoise) – 2nd color = 200 g (sport yarn)
W (white) – 3rd color = 400 g (sport yarn)
L (lash yarn) – 4th color = 100 g (lash yarn, preferably long lash)
Crochet hook: 3.5 mm
Notions: crochet hook, pins, sewing needle, scissors
Tension: crochet steady (not too loose and not too firmly) for the proper peacock eye result – DO NOT BLOCK PEACOCK EYES NOR THE SHAWL
Remember - always enjoy your work
