The Gooroom Vest is worked top-down in a texture pattern. The back yoke is worked first and then stitches are picked up from the cast-on edges for each shoulder. The shoulders are worked with v-neck increases. When the back and the front yokes are done, the pieces are joined in the round and worked in the round down to the hem. Finally, the neck and the armhole bands are worked in rib.

The Gooroom Vest requires the following techniques: casting on, picking up stitches, knit and purl stitches, increases (M1L/M1pL, M1R/M1pR), decreases (k2tog, ssk), double knitting and tubular bind off.
