Goose Chase Hat
by Sarah Roy
This pattern is available as a
free Ravelry download
This hat was inspired by the cuddly cabled sweater worn by John Watson (as played by Martin Freeman) in the BBC1 show Sherlock. In the first episode, Sherlock and John go on a wild goose chase across London in an attempt to catch a criminal. This hat is the first pattern I have written, and designing it felt a bit like a goose chase too! The textured chevron pattern between the cables is sometimes also called a “flying geese” pattern.
Required techniques: knit, purl, cabling, increasing, K2tog, SSK, knitting in the round.
