Oversized chunky cable beanie hat with a giant pom - pom

Worked in super chunky weight wool this beanie knits up deceptively quickly and will be a firm favorite with boys and girls alike.

Skills required: You will need to be able to work a simple rib and cable pattern

You will need:
Yarn approx. Child: 104m/114y, Adult: 136m/148y of Super chunky wool (incl. extra for pom pom)

Materials
I used 100% Merino Wool from Rowan called ‘Big wool’ in Super chunky weight yarn in colour Prize 064, 2 x 100g balls (80m/87y per 100g)

Note if you intend to substitute this yarn make sure you have checked the meterage per ball to get the correct amount.
