Gooseberry Cardigan
Inspired by my fascination with fall colors, this is the perfect warm and oversized cardigan for the long winters of upstate New York. I started this project at the end of summer as the season started to change, and kept knitting throughout the fall.
I finally finished when things slowed down in the winter. The Gooseberry Cardigan is a slow, cozy project that requires patience and commitment. The reward is a big warm hug in the form of a sweater.
The Gooseberry cardigan is worked flat from the bottom up in alternating bands of stockinette stitch and a bobble pattern featuring decorative yarn floats. Sleeves are picked up from the armholes and worked in the round to the cuff.
