The Gorse Top is a versatile sleeveless garment that can be worn as an outer layer, either as a full poncho with no side seams, or with side seams, sewn from the hem to the desired armhole height, or along part of the side seams for a split hem. The length of the garment can be adjusted by adding or subtracting the number of Flower Motif repeats. .

The Gorse Top is crocheted in two parts (back and front), from the bottom up, then joined at the shoulder using dc stitches. The neckband is crocheted around the neck afterwards, allowing for versatility in the neckband depth.

Note that any adjustments may affect the total yardage required.
