Gosling doll
Tanoshi series Gosling doll - pdf knitting pattern.
The toy is knitted in the round and that is why the pattern is recommended for Advanced Beginner Knitters.
The finished doll is approximately 6 inches (15 cm) tall.
Abbreviations
K = knit
P = purl
Sts = stitches
Kfb = knit into front and back of stitch
K2tog = knit 2 together
P2tog = purl 2 together
K3tog = knit 3 together
CO = cast on
RND = round
St st = stockinette stitch /Odd-numbered rows – knit. Even-numbered rows – purl/
w&t = wrap and turn (short rows)
Materials needed
• 4 double-pointed needles size US 2 (3 mm).
• Cream and orange colored yarns for doll. Nako Baby Hoşgeldin Soft /60% bamboo, 40% nylon; 100gr – 250m/ Weight: Aran (7 wpi)
• White yarn for body. I used Nako Paris /60% Polyester, 40% Acrylic; 100gr – 240m/. Weight: Worsted (9 wpi) Eyelash Texture.
• Toy stuffing
• Yarn needle
• Stitch holder
• Black Plastic eyes (5 mm)
• Black beads for eyes
All rows are worked in the round, this helps avoid ugly seams.
