Gossamer
Gossamer is a generously sized triangular wrap worked with two contrasting weight yarns that alternate between sheer and solid stripes. A delicate lace weight is used throughout the entire project while three shades of a DK weight yarn are added and held together with the lace in sections, creating interesting textures.
The thicker yarn gives the wrap beautiful drape while the lace gives it overall structure and gossamer transparency. To make the most of the contrast between the different colors and thicknesses of the yarns, only the most basic of stitches are used throughout, making this a quick-to-knit and beginner-friendly project.
To customize the look of your shawl, you can choose subtle tonal colors similar to the original or select your favorite bright colors full of contrast; so pick your favorite colors and have fun - the world is your oyster.
Gossamer kits are now available directly from Miss Babs - so many gorgeous colors to choose from!
