This scarf is inspired by the quiet majesty of gothic buildings and their intricate floral patterns sculpted in the stone. I didn’t grow up catholic but I’ve always loved gothic churches. As a kid, I would sit in silence to enjoy the peace and beauty of these ancient buildings, contemplating the light playing through gorgeous stained glasses and listening to the whisper of time through their walls.
The scarf is knitted flat in the lovely natural merino yarn Fado by Fonty. It starts and ends with a few rows of backloop ribbing, and the body of the scarf is worked in a pattern made of texture, lace and cables. It’s available in one size, easily adjustable if you want a longer or larger scarf by adding some pattern repeats.

Cette écharpe est inspirée par la silencieuse majesté des bâtiments gothiques et leurs délicats motifs floraux dessinés dans la pierre. Je n’ai pas grandi catholique, mais j’ai toujours adoré les églises gothiques. Quand j’étais petite, je m’y asseyais en silence pour profiter de la paix et de la beauté de ces monuments anciens en contemplant les jeux de lumière dans les vitraux et écoutant les murmures du temps entre leurs murs pleins d’histoires.
L’écharpe est tricotée à plat dans la jolie laine en mérinos naturelle Fado de Fonty. Elle démarre et se termine par quelques rangs de côtes torses, et le corps de l’écharpe est tricoté dans un motif fait de texture, dentelle et torsades.
Le modèle est disponible dans une taille unique, facilement ajustable si vous souhaitez une écharpe plus longue ou plus large, en ajoutant des répétitions du motif.
