Gotta Have Some Hot Stuff
As usual, the tv was playing with one of the music channels on. Donna Summer was singing “Hot Stuff”. I was dancing (yeah, like no one was looking). Still humming the tune long after the tv was off, I remembered that I had some bright color yarn in one of my bags. That’s how this hat began.
It’s a fun hat that’s a quick and easy knit. Knit from the bottom up, The 2x2 ribbing is broken up with twisted eyelets. The body of the hat is just straight stockinette … so quick, quick, quick!
Size: pre-teen to teen
The sample hat measures 8” from top to bottom, and 16” around the bottom band (unstretched). The twisted stitches in the bottom band limits the “stretchability” slightly; if desired, the hat can be made larger by casting on more stitches in multiples of four.
And if you want to dance, too, check out the song.
