Grace Cuff
This is the nineteenth pattern release in the 7 Hats More ebook.
Classic shape, clean lines and beautiful yarns all come together to create these warm and practical cuffs. These cuffs leave the fingers and thumbs free, prefect for artists of all kinds, computer jockeys, photographers, and painters of any genre!
These mitts are knit with two yarns held together to create a depth of colour and texture that one yarn usually cannot give. The mitts start at the top or “Cuff” and then the wrist is picked up – leaving an opening for the thumb. The wrist is knit down and can be longer than shown. Because of the ribbed body these mitts are very forgiving and will fit almost any wrist, the cuff sets the fit for the palm.
Materials: 150 m, 177 yds each of a fingering weight yarn and a lace weight mohair, sample was knit with Fleece Artist Angel Hair (anise colourway) and Merino Slim (violet colourway) held together, 3.25mm US #3 2 dpns or straights for ribbing hand and 3.25mm dpns for wrist, markers and the regular notions.
Gauge: working with both yarns held together, 1 x 1 ribbing, 9 sts and 7 ½ rows makes one inch without stretching or blocking
Size: Adult – small, approx. 7 inches around the palm and 6 inches long, medium, approx. 7.5 inches around the palm and 6.5 inches long, and large, approx. 8 inches around the palm and 7 inches long. Sample shown in size Medium.
