Grace Under Pressure
This top is super easy to knit with a simple lace pattern, which pops out with the use of a stranded yarn. Knitted in the flat, this garment has a slash neckline and short length dolman sleeves. It’s a good project for knitters who wish to increase their stitch knowledge and uses both flat and knitting in the round techniques.
Knitted in 4 ply yarn, the halo on the yarn used here creates a softer pattern. I have used Louise Harding 4 ply Amitola yarn - a blend of 80% wool and 20% silk; but any 4 ply yarn can be used.
Tension shown on the pattern is for the lace repeat, over 10cm.
Materials needed include double pointed needles (DPNs) or circular needle.
5 skeins are needed for this project, including sewing up. Care should be taken if using self striping yarn, to ensure that colour continuation when finishing with one ball and beginning with another is maintained for stripes to look coherent.
