Gracie Sweater
The Gracie Sweater, available in 2 weights of yarn, features lace, scalloped edges and a simple button front closure!
Sizes:
Worsted weight: newborn up to 3 months, 6-12 months
D.K. weight: newborn to 3 months
Supplies needed for d.k. weight sweater:
1 Set, Size 6 (4 mm), Double Pointed Needles
Size 6, 24”, Circular Needles
About 2.7 ounces (76.5 grams) of d.k. weight yarn (I used 1 skein of Fiberlady.com Makicot bamboo blend)
Gauge: 20 stitches/28 rows= 4” in stockinette stitch, on size 6 needles
(2) 3/8” buttons
Stitch holders or spare yarn
Needle and thread for sewing buttons on
For worsted weight sweaters:
Supplies needed:
1 Set, Size 7 (4.5 mm), Double Pointed Needles
Size 7, 24”, Circular Needles
About 2.8 (4.3) ounces of worsted weight yarn, 10-ply, or Aran (I used 2, 50 grams, skeins of Knitpicks Comfy Worsted)
Gauge: 18 stitches/26 rows= 4” in stockinette stitch, on size 7 needles
(2) 1/2” buttons
Stitch holders or spare yarn
Needle and thread for sewing on buttons.
