Graduation Blanket
Level 1-Easy (SCBLO and DCFLO stitches only)
Graduation is a special time that should be celebrated with a one-of-a-kind gift! This mosaic crochet graduation blanket pattern is the perfect way to show your grad how much you care. This keepsake blanket can be customized with the graduate’s school colors and the year of graduation. The pattern includes detailed layout instructions, date template, and the numbers 0-9 to customize the year. Make this blanket your signature gift for all future graduations!
There is space in the project to personalize with a name. I have included my D’Nealian Font Alphabet with this purchase. That’s 2 patterns for the price of one!
Written for Mosaic Overlay Crochet, this pattern includes:
• Charts
• Written Pattern
• Numbers 0-9, full alphabet, layout templates
• Detailed Instructions packet
• Stitch Key
• Photo tutorials
• Video tutorials
Size: 38”x 46”
Size will vary depending on yarn weight and hook.
This calculation was based on Stylecraft Special DK yarn and hook size of 3.75mm. Gauge: 5 stitched and 5 rows=1 inch
Yarn:
Color A (design/numbers/cap-shown in blue)– 1244 yds
Color B (background-shown in white) – 1219 yds
Color C (stripes shown in gold) – 504 yds
Border – 649 yds
This pattern is divided into 5 sections (5 pages each) and is worked from the bottom up. I would suggest using the Knit Companion app (my personal preference as it is brilliant and saves on printer ink and paper), but I have also included layout instructions for the charts if you prefer to print out your pages. The written pattern sections correlate with the charts so they can be used together. I’ve also included a full chart on one page for those who wish to use Knit Companion (or similar technology) without all the page breaks.
Special thanks to Cheryl Baldwin for testing this pattern.
