Graefen Cloth & Towel Set
- Fast, easy & reversible
- Adapts to any yarn weight
Description
Graefen is a fast and easy pattern for a set of reversible cloths and towels ideal for bath or kitchen. The name, an Old English word for flutes, furrows or ridges, echoes the pleasing texture that appears on both sides.
The design features a simple slip stitch that’s fully reversible, easy to execute, and equally easy to memorize. This versatile stitch delivers on every front, creating charming results in one color, tonal effects in closely related hues, and stripes in high-contrast shades. Colorwork is a cinch, because only one color is worked on a row.
Written for DK weight yarn, the pattern accommodates any weight from lace to bulky and lends itself to multi-stranding as well. It details directions for three cloth and towel sizes (S, M, L) in solid, striped and banded versions.
The Quick Reference guide provides detailed yardage breakouts, while tips, tricks, and modification suggestions help you make this design your own.
