This pattern was inspired by the awesome Graffiti yarn color way from Spun Right Round. I wanted to create something that would show off all the colors and have a subtle texture to it. The dark grey openwork reminds me of a chain link fence and gives contrast to the vibrant colors of the graffiti much like you would see along urban alleyways and back buildings. A bright playfulness on brick walls with bumps and layers of paint, marked off and contained by dark streets, shadows and fences.

Yardage: 500 yards of Dk in speckled or variegated colors, 100 yards of DK in solid color

This knitting pattern is for the Industrial Whimsy Graffiti Shawl. Full color, high quality pictures and written instructions. This is a great pattern to knit up for a birthday gift or as a stunning accessory for yourself! This would make a thoughtful gift as a comfort or prayer shawl.

This pattern is great to do during a Craft Party or Knit Night with friends! A great pick for World Wide Knit in Public Day!

Is this pattern right for you? Here’s what you need to know:

PROJECT NOTES:

Finished measurements: Approximately 72 inches wide and 27 inches from bottom tip to top.

On the Two-Row Increase: you will end on a Row 1 once the desired number of stitches is reached. The Next Row will be worked on the wrong side.

Suggested yarns: Spun Right Round Squish DK (shown in graffiti color way), Shalimar Breathless DK (show in Black Truffle color way)

7/14/17 - I’ve updated to fix the typo in the last part of the pattern for when you switch to contrasting yarn: the original says to go to the last 6 stitches and it now reads “to the last 5 stitches, yo, knit 5”. Downloads after this date are correct.
